He was roasted by Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes on Sunday night, but Mel Gibson was still in he mood to celebrate after the ceremony.

The 60-year-old, who starred in the original Mad Max, hit the party circuit with his girlfriend Rosalind Ross, 24.

The pair were spotted walking hand-in-hand as they made their way out of the CAA soiree, held at Sunset Tower Hotel.

Mel wore a form-fitting black tuxedo for Sunday's occasion, which he coupled with a coordinating bow tie.

He could be seen fiddling on his cell phone as he stood outside at the hotel, before he and Rosalind made their exit.

The equestrian champion wore a strapless, deep purple gown with a flowing train that she was spotted carrying in one hand as she made her exit.

Her long, raven tresses were pulled up into a stylish updo, and she showed off a dark manicure to coordinate with her gown.

Rosalind accessorized with a gold statement necklace, also showing off a smoky eye and red lipstick.

The couple first met when Rosalind applied for a job at Mel's production company, Icon, and have been dating since July.

After referring back to his last hosting gig, in which he mocked Mel, Ricky introduced the star by teasing: 'I want to say something nice about Mel before he comes out. So, I’d rather have a drink with him in his hotel room tonight than with Bill Cosby.'

Mel then gave it right back to Gervais, quipping: 'I like seeing Ricky once every three years. It reminds me to get a colonoscopy.'

However, it didn't end there as Ricky then came back out, asking Mel a question that was bleeped out by censors, and later revealed to have been: 'What the fuck does sugar tits even mean?'

The question was in reference to comments Mel allegedly told a female cop during his 2006 DUI arrest.

The Braveheart actor - who has long maintained that he never used the sexist phrase - seemed annoyed by the question, responding: I' don't know, you'll have to ask the person who said that.'
